Sure, I can imagine that many of the hyper religious will find them insulting anyway, but the only way to offend NO-ONE is to never bring it up. I've found them to be about as respectful as they could be while still being uncompromising. I haven't found the tone of the show's comments againt anti-science to be disparaging. InterruptingQuirk: rbuzby: InterruptingQuirk: I'm gonna drink every time NDT makes a disparaging remark about what someone else thinks. How much did the kid with the dunce hat on learn while sitting in the corner as the other kids stuck their chewing gum inside the pages of his books as 'he won't use them anyway'. My beliefs are not relevant here, and stating such will probably elicit an assumption of what I believe, all I am speaking to is the patronizing attitude with the disparaging remarks. Also, assuming they won't listen is just as disparaging as the remarks against them. It's rude and counterproductive to the portion of the audience most in need of education. Some guy who thinks he knows the age of the earth by researching the bible should have disparaging remarks made about him.ĭo you really think that an opinion based on nothing but scripture is as good as an opinion based on observation and research"?īecause I don't care for the attitude. Why are you watching if you are a science denying fundy? If you aren't, why post that comment? (image pops to full resolution of ciphertext from last week's episode) I'm about to duck out for a few hours and miss the whole thread because the last time I tried, the livestream was kill halfway through the episode, and I still had to wait until it aired in my time zone, but did anyone solve the easter egg from last week? The original project that had nothing to do with lead wasn't exactly the sort of thing that made headlines, and by the time the issue had gone to leaded gasoline, you'd be looking at pre-80s quality 480p VHS recordings or 60s-quality "put a film camera in front of a flickering TV" at best. I'll speculate it's the budget for the show and the fact that actual footage of the guy wasn't around from back then. Couldnt some actual footage have been used instead? Why use the animation to portray events that occurred in modern times? For example last week the story of the guy who discovered the age of the earth by examining lead atoms in rocks (and subsequently led to the elimination of lead in gasoline). The episode's title refers to the scientific contributions of the female scientists featured in the episode as well as how their discoveries helped advance our knowledge of the composition of stars.īillions and billions - finish your drinkīut I do have a criticism question. Cannon developed the first catalog the spectral characteristics of stars. Payne discovered the chemical composition of stars and that they consist largely of Hydrogen. The episode pays homage to the discoveries of two female astronomers, Cecilia Payne (voiced by Kirsten Dunst) and Annie Jump Cannon (voiced by Marlee Matlin), and the obstacles faced by female scientists, especially those working in the early 20th century. The episode explores the violent cosmic phenomenon of supernovas, which on average occur once per galaxy per century or one billion times per year in the observable universe. This is the fourth most debated and most wanted feature on the AUGI community wish-list. Improved revision clouds are now more fun to work with – now you can create, transform, add to or delete revisions clouds for any object in the design. The option calculates the geometric center of the object (polygon or a closed polyline) requiring less complicated calculations if any. Geometric center object snap – the most wanted feature by the AutoDesk Users Group International. The improved feature enables you to test an action before committing to it. Smart command tool – the latest AutoDesk release offers a preview tool to use more commands. Such previews of measurement values enables users to undo less. Designing a circle you will be shown its diameter and radii, angular dimensions. Now it previews the measurements to see whether the values being right, it suggests relevant measurements and values according the type of the designed object. More precision with improved dimensioning tool – never before has the dimensioning tool of Autodesk AutoCAD been so smart and intelligent. The updated robust graphic engine enables software to operate smoothly in multitasking mode.
